Evidence for Farm to School Programs

Farm to School

There is some evidence that farm to school programs increase knowledge about, willingness to try, and consumption of fruit and vegetables among school children. Farm to school programs are a recommended strategy to improve nutrition. However, additional evidence is needed to confirm effects.

Note: Some evidence in support of Farm to School Programs exists but there is not enough as of now to say they are an evidence based intervention.
