Telemedicine
There is strong evidence that telemedicine increases access to care especially for individuals with chronic conditions and those in rural and other traditionally underserved areas. Telemedicine can improve health outcomes for long-term chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart failure, COPD, and hypertension. Providing care through telemedicine may be less costly than standard care once the technology is in place.
