The vision of the Center for Prevention & Wellness (CPW) is to reduce the overall impact of health disparities experienced by individuals living upon American Indian Reservations and the wider Northwest region. The CPW offers prevention education that includes empowerment and support for healthy behavior, community collaboration, and lifestyles changes.
Women 4 Wellness strives to increase health awareness and healthy behaviors among women of the Flathead Indian Reservation and Lake County, by bringing together service providers and other organizations at a single location. The event focuses on health education and disease prevention by offering free or low-cost health screenings and information designed specifically for women. Women 4 Wellness is an annual health fair provided to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes area since 2009. W4W aims to improve the health of our area women through preventative education, health promotion, free screenings and testing. W4w’s goal is to help women become involved in their health care and to help them take the steps necessary to live healthy lives.
