reACT

reACT is Montana’s teen-led movement against big tobacco companies. reACT joins statewide youth empowerment movements across the country in recognizing the power of young people to effectively take on one of the leading preventable causes of death: commercial tobacco use. Corporate Tobacco spends millions of dollars targeting teens in Montana.

reACT has put on a tobacco free rodeos since 2008. During the rodeo, reACT members bring in a motivational presenter to discuss educational topics involving tobacco. The purpose of the reACT Tobacco Free Rodeo Campaign aims to get tobacco out of our rodeos, and honor rodeo athletes who pledge to live tobacco-free. Throughout the Montana High School Rodeo Association spring season, reACT goes to twelve rodeos as part of the reACT Tobacco-Free Rodeo Series. At the end of the season, reACT will award High School Rodeo Seniors with up to $5000 in scholarships for those who pledge to remain tobacco-free.
