“To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.”
The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their loved ones, free of charge. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs, utilizing the Patient Active Concept, people affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation and restore hope–regardless of the stage of disease.
The Cooking for Wellness program helps people learn about basic healthy foods and their benefits, while learning how to creatively prepare them. These popular classes are lead monthly by various people in the Bozeman area. Participants can plan to sample the menu each month, and are encouraged to bring friends and family. Their activities are completely free of charge and intended to help heal and strengthen those impacted by cancer. Anyone diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones are welcome to attend their active programs.
