Sheridan Memorial Activities Department

The main purpose and function of the Activity Department is to provide an on-going program of activities designed to meet the interests and physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of each resident. The activities are planned and carried out daily for both group and individual participation that maintain and enhance each residents quality of life.

The Activity Department works with volunteers who donate time by visiting with residents, helping with social events, working in the beauty shop and much more.

Community outreach is an essential part of the activity program and includes:
Inter-generational Visits – local school 2nd grade classes visit monthly
Religious Activities – local churches provide Sunday worship and monthly communion
Mission Outreach – residents assemble health kits for Lutheran World Relief
Entertainment – using local talent for social events.
