What is the Montana ShakeOut?

It’s a statewide earthquake drill, held
annually in the fall. In 2014, the
ShakeOut will happen on October
22nd at 10:22am. At that time, everyone
will Drop to the ground, Cover
themselves with a table or desk, and
Hold on for at least one minute.

Why Participate?

Montana is one of the most seismically active states in
the U.S. Knowing what to do in an earthquake is one of
the best ways to prepare.

businesses, organizations, government agencies, and families
will be Shaking Out across the state!

How do I sign-up and how long will it take?

5 minutes! Go to www.shakeout.org/montana/register
and fill out the online form. You’ll receive a confirmation
email when you are finished.
